Care for the Polis was designed to reimagine how medical humanities and public humanities shape, and are shaped by, the city and its diverse publics. Beginning with the May 7 event, and the following eight panels, the series address emerging concerns such as economic impact and recovery, domesticity and democracy, public care and public reconstruction.

The event recordings are now available for viewing via the Society of Fellows and Heyman Center for the Humanities website.

Care for the Polis was co-sponsored by the Society of Fellows and Heyman Center for the Humanities, the Institute for Comparative Literature and Society, the Temple Hoyne Buell Center for the Study of American Architecture, and the Center for Science and Society.
