CSS Funding Opportunities
The Center for Science and Society supports four grant-giving programs:
Seed grants are awarded to innovative interdisciplinary projects involving the study of science and society that require modest amounts of seed money to initiate collaborative research, workshops, and other activities.
Applications for the 2020 Seed Grants are now closed.
This grant supports the development of new cross-disciplinary and co-taught classes that bridge fields in the humanities, arts, and/or social sciences with fields from the natural sciences.
Applications for the 2020/21 Co-teaching grants are open via rolling submission.
With a challenging academic year ahead, these grants support proposals that cultivate student engagement and enhance the online learning experience for Columbia students and instructors.
Applications for the Remote Learning and Teaching grants are open via rolling submission throughout the 2020-21 academic year.
This program supports efforts to help boost public understanding, education, and response to societal concerns surrounding science, technology, or medicine.
Applications for the 2021 Public Outreach Grants are open. Submissions are due March, 19, 2021.
