The Making and Knowing Project (a Center for Science and Society Research Cluster) has received grants from the Institute of Latin American Studies, the Institute for Religion, Culture and Public Life, and the Institute for Social and Economic Research and Policy at Columbia University.
The funds will support the October 2025 Environment, Craft, Language, Culture, and Knowledge in the Americas Residency. Expert dyer-weavers Bertha Estrada Huipe and Mateo Estrada Rodriguez from Ahuirán, Mexico will participate in a number of public events while also hosting smaller sessions for students to work and learn directly alongside them.
