Course Development and Augmentation Grant Overview

This program supports the development, implementation, and augmentation of new undergraduate and graduate courses in the study of science and society. 

Courses have contributed to the Center's undergraduate minor in Science and Society, facilitated experiential learning opportunities for students, and has incorporated collaborations with experts outside academia. 

The call is open to instructors at Columbia University (including Barnard College and Core Lecturers) in any discipline. Successful applicants receive a research allowance to be used for the development or augmentation and teaching of the course over the following two years. Awardees must commit to teaching the course within two years of the start of the grant.
