Graduate Student Interest Group Grants Awarded

June 10, 2025

The Center for Science and Society provides the intellectual and administrative space for graduate students looking to push the boundaries of academic disciplines. As part of this work, the Center launched its first Graduate Student Interest Group funding call earlier this year.

The two selected groups will examine topics at the intersection of science and society through readings, guest speakers, workshops, and film screenings. Our 2025 recipients are:

  • China Reading and Innovation Lab led by Yanze Yu (Graduate Student in Sociology)
  • Land Interest Group led by Zarino Lanni (Graduate Student in Anthropology) and Farah Saqer (Graduate Student in Anthropology)

Visit our Graduate Student Interest Group Overview page to learn more about each group. Congratulations to all our recipients!
