Pamela Smith, the Center for Science and Society's Founding Director, has been awarded the Herzog August Library's inaugural Research Prize. The selection panel cited her innovative research that focuses on the contribution of the non-academic world to the genesis of knowledge about things and substances in the Making and Knowing Project. The prize is awarded in conjunction with the Hans and Helga Eckensberger Foundation.
