Founding Director Pamela Smith Awarded George L. Mosse Prize

Pamela Smith, the Center for Science and Society's Founding Director, has been awarded the American Historical Association's George L. Mosse Prize for her newest book, From Lived Experience to the Written Word: Reconstructing Practical Knowledge in the Early Modern World. The prize recognizes an outstanding major work of extraordinary scholarly distinction, creativity, and originality in the intellectual and cultural history of Europe since 1500.

The book is informed by her work with the many students and collaborators in the Making and Knowing Project (a Center Research Cluster). Congratulations to Pamela!
