Course Development Grants Awarded

May 01, 2025

The Center for Science and Society is thrilled to announce our latest round of Course Development awardees. The three awarded grants will support the development of new curricular offerings open to undergraduate students in the study of science, technology, and society or the environmental and climate humanities.

These classes will also be integrated into our new Science and Society minor

This grant program is part of the Center for Science and Society's Co-Production of Knowledge Initiative and funded by the Mellon Foundation.

Our 2025 recipients are:

  • Nature, Race, and Indigeneity in the US taught by Carlos Alonso Nugent (Assistant Professor of English and Comparative Literature)
  • The Science of World History taught by Matthew Delvaux (Assistant Professor of History)
  • Science, Technology, and Human Rights taught by Martin Chalfie (University Professor) and Rebecca Everly (Director of the Committee on Human Rights at the U.S. National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine)
