Event Description: 

Please join the Environmental Science and Humanities Research Cluster for a lunchtime discussion organized exploring agro-food systems. In the first meeting of the Spring 2019 semester, Professor Shahid Naeem will discuss the big picture of the global food system and what are the setbacks and impediments that we face in creating a sustainable system, as well the factors that not only allow for but also accelerate our progress towards such a goal.

Event Speaker:

Shahid Naeem is Co-Director of the Environmental Sciences and Humanities Research Cluster, Director of Science at the Earth Institute Center for Environmental Sustainability, and Professor of Ecology, Evolution, and Environmental Biology at Columbia University.

Event Information: 

Free and open to Columbia University students, staff, faculty, and affiliates. Lunch will be provided.
