In celebration of the brilliant career of Professor Kessler-Harris, Women’s History in Motion, a two-day conference at Columbia University will be held Thursday, April 28 through Friday, April 29, 2016.

Topics include: [U.S.] History as Women’s History: Starting Out, Organizing the Unorganizable: Gendering Labor History, The Gendered Imagination: From Women to Gender and Beyond, In Pursuit of Equity: Social Change through Social Policy, and Alice Kessler-Harris: The Radical Consequences of Incremental Change.
