Event Description
Calling all readers passionate and eager to learn more about the potential we as humans have to make the world a better place in the midst of the climate catastrophe. Join our newest endeavor, the Center for Science and Society Book Club! This semester, we will be reading excerpts from What If We Get It Right? by Ayana Elizabeth Johnson.
The book combines the perspectives of science, culture, policy, and social justice to envision the infinite possibility of our climate futures despite the crisis we currently face. We will take a deep dive into this work, reading a selection of its poetry, interviews, and short essays. Each meeting will include discussion, a related craft or activity, and a shared meal.
Meeting dates: March 26, April 16, May 7.
