Event Description
Welcome back readers! The Center for Science and Society’s Book Club is back this Fall 2025 semester for our second iteration! Join us in reading The Water Knife by Paolo Bacigalupi – a thrilling, powerful, and near-future novel set in the American Southwest, where drought and climate change are just two players in the great game of survival.
Each meeting will include engaging activities and interactive discussions about the novel, and encourage timely reflections about the impacts of climate change on water scarcity, national security, and civic wellbeing. A snack will also be provided.
Meeting dates: October 24, December 5, and January 2026 (exact date to be determined).
