Event Description
The World Health Organization, the leader for health for the United Nations, has pushed for the pandemic response to realize equitable global access to health technologies through the pooling of knowledge, intellectual property, and data. The WHO Academy, a state-of-the-art training center, will be at the forefront of these goals. In November, a special session of the World Health Assembly will convene with the hope of developing a WHO convention to better prepare for and respond to COVID-19 and future pandemics.
This event will discuss lessons from COVID-19 and how we can prepare for the next century of public health threats by translating research into action.
