Event Description
For over 100 years astronomers and particle physicists have been trying to uncover the origin of a mysterious stream of super energetic particles flowing in from space. These "cosmic rays" still hold many puzzles, but the most startling is that we still don't know where they come from! In this talk, we will take a tour through some of the most energetic places in the galaxy, from exploding stars to black holes, and see how we can use a wide variety of some of the largest telescopes in the world to make some important breakthroughs.
This event will also include astronomy triva and outside oversation.
