Event time is displayed in your time zone.
New Museum, 235 Bowery, New York

Event Description:

Join NEW INC and Science Sandbox for an evening sharing new ideas at the intersection of art, design, and science, as they kick-off of their partnership supporting NEW INC's Creative Experiments track—an incubator program for people exploring science-based areas of research through an artistic lens.

Radiolab producer Molly Webster is your emcee and special guest for the evening, which will include presentations and a panel discussion with current and alumni Creative Experiments members Stephanie Dinkins, MICRO, and Charlotte McCurdy. The evening will conclude with a reception in the New Museum Sky Room.

Science Sandbox is an initiative of the Simons Foundation dedicated to inspiring a deeper interest in science, especially among those who don’t think of themselves as science enthusiasts. Supported by Science Sandbox, the Creative Experiments track at NEW INC is focused on engaging creative practitioners who are exploring artificial intelligence, robotics, biotech, digital manufacturing, and other science-based areas of research through their practice.

Prospective NEW INC members whose creative work focuses on scientific processes, and are interested in applying to the Creative Experiments track are encouraged to attend. Learn more about the program and how to apply at the NEW INC website.
