Event Description
The U.S. population is aging, and by the year 2030, 20% of the people living here will be over the age of 65. We are living longer because we have been successful at treating heart disease, cancer, and infections. Unfortunately, living longer means that we will suffer from the effects of brain disorders like stroke, Alzheimer’s disease, and Parkinson’s disease. But there are proven strategies that can delay and prevent these disorders. These strategies are based on lifestyle interventions that result in good brain health and will reduce the risk of developing neurodegenerative disorders.
