Event Description

Twenty years after Hurricane Katrina, we’re still living with its lessons and its warning signals. The storm was a case study in disaster capitalism: public systems stripped down, workers pushed to the margins and called looters, and entire communities simply left to fend for themselves. This session examines how Hurricane Katrina became a model of disaster capitalism-and what responsible investors must do to avoid repeating that legacy today.
