This event features an interdisciplinary conversation about jazz improvisation and neuroscience through music and dialogue.

Event Speaker:

Helen Sung is a pianist, composer, educator and the Jazz Artist-in-Residence at Columbia's Zuckerman Institute.

Michael Shadlen, MD, PhD: Professor of Neuroscience; Principal Investigator at Columbia's Zuckerman Institute; Investigator at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute
Chris Washburne, PhD: Associate Professor of Music at Columbia University and the founder and director of Columbia’s Louis Armstrong Jazz Performance Program.
