Event Description

A special Indigenous Peoples’ Day gathering designed to explore the possibilities and challenges surrounding collaboration between archaeologists and descendant Indigenous nations. The tribal leadership of Picuris Pueblo, an Indigenous nation in New Mexico, will be in dialogue with crew members from Barnard College’s archaeological program in New Mexico, which has been working closely with the tribe to document its ancestry.
