A screening of the documentary Hollow Tree, which follows three teenage girls in Louisiana as they confront the impacts of the climate crisis on their sinking homeland. As they explore different sites along the Mississippi River, they engage with engineers, activists, and Indigenous leaders, gaining new perspectives on their surroundings and their shared history of slavery, Indigenous dispossession, and colonization. Through their journey, the girls begin to envision Louisiana's future and their role in shaping it for the better. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with the director.
