Event Description
Governments around the world are using industrial policy to speed the shift to a low-carbon economy. They are investing in clean energy manufacturing, emerging technologies, nature-positive supply chains, and these policies are reshaping global markets. They also raise hard questions about cost, competition, trade, and fairness.
Join for an evening on the promises and pitfalls of green industrial policy. Experts will examine which policies work and which fall short, and the technologies poised to transform industries. They will also discuss governance trade-offs and unintended consequences, and how fiscal sustainability, rising tariffs and geopolitical tensions are reshaping clean energy supply chains and ecological protection. Drawing on the experiences of China and Brazil, the panel will look at how different national contexts shape the design and results of green industrial policy.
