Event Description

Deb Houry, one of the CDC’s highest-ranking officials, resigned publicly, along with several of her colleagues. In this talk, Houry will draw on her time with the agency to explain the threats the CDC, and public health, now face. These include both the ability to respond to emergencies and chronic health problems and compromised research data from which to guide action. Deb Houry brings a perspective that only an insider’s eye can.
