Diana Center (LL103), Barnard College, 3009 Broadway, New York

Event Description:

Are you concerned about climate change? Are you interested in learning about it from a scientific perspective? Or a policy perspective? What about both? Hear perspectives of scientists, legal experts, and activists in a panel conversation with one another. The panelists will uncover more about why climate change is more relevant and urgent now than ever before. Join this interdisciplinary conversation and learn how climate change is more than just a battlefield on the federal level, and what kinds of scientific and political solutions are still open for anyone (even on an individual level) to pitch in.

Event Speakers:

  • Michael Gerrard, Andrew Sabin Professor of Professional Practice at Columbia Law School
  • Ruth S. Defries, Professor of Ecology and Sustainable Development at Columbia University
