Event Description

The CHIPS and Science Act, enacted under President Biden in 2022, marked a major effort to invest public funds ($280 billion) into research to boost domestic semiconductor development and production in the interest of national security and economic competitiveness. Also included in this bill were provisions for increased funding for public research in several scientific areas, from quantum computing to materials science to biotechnology. Join this event for a retrospective on the CHIPS and Science Act.
