Event Description

Brainwash Storytelling: Black Women, Trauma and Triumph is a film that tells a story of three Caribbean-American women navigating PTSD on the heels of a sister’s murder. The film is a vehicle for urgently centering Black women’s mental health and actionable ways to fortify mind-body connections. The screening and discussion will explore our brain’s incredible capacity to adapt for healing in a community whose trauma has been historically and contemporarily dismissed.
