UN3027: Science Fiction Poetics | K. Jensen

Creative Writing
Undergraduate Seminar
M 2:10-4PM

This seminar will examine how poets and writers from around the world have imagined alternate realities and futures, linguistic inventions, and new poetic expressions inspired by science. We will discuss what these imaginings might tell us about the cultural and political presents in which they were conceived, as well as what the extreme conditions offered by science fiction might teach us about writing into the unknown.
