Eligibility: 

Open to Columbia University (including Barnard and Teachers College) students over 18 years of age. You may be asked to provide your UNI for verification.

Amount:

The winner will receive a $25 Amazon gift card. 

Description:

We've all been spending hours on Zoom in classes and meetings. Our staff has been having fun trying out silly and serious Zoom background images and now we want to hear from you. Columbia students are encouraged to share their best virtual background image or video. Submissions can reference Columbia University or the Center for Science and Society, but it is not required. We can't wait to see what you come up with!

Backgrounds can be submitted by posting to your profile or story and tagging @cssatcolumbia. You can also email submissions to [email protected].

Contest Rules:

• By submitting a photo or video, you retain the rights to your works while granting Columbia University the right to reproduce and display the works (in whole or in part) without further notification.
• The Center reserves the right to disqualify any submissions including profanity, obscene images, or derogatory language.

• Please provide photo/image credit if you do not own the background image.
• Center staff will judge images based on merit and originality. 
• The winner will be notified via an Instagram direct message and/or email.
• This contest is not associated with or sponsored by Zoom.
