Description

The Center for Science and Society is seeking a creative media assistant over the summer to help with a media project. In close collaboration with the Center’s staff, the prospective assistant will: Review previously collected raw audio and video footage; edit footage to create rough and final cuts of video suitable for distribution on social media and websites (may require designing or sourcing b-roll, graphics, and music); create/edit captions for accessibility.

The expectation is that this project should be able to be completed over the summer. However, if there is mutual interest, there may be an opportunity for the candidate to take on additional projects or continue to work during the academic year on events, communications, media, and general administrative support for the Center.

Work over the summer may be done in-person and/or remotely. Work hours are flexible to suit the candidate’s needs, although the candidate may need to meet occasionally with staff during regular business hours, 9 AM - 5 PM.
