Description

The University of British Columbia, Okanagan's Department of History and Sociology invites applications for a tenure-track appointment in Environmental Sociology, with specialization in Food, Food Security, Environmental racism, and/or Climate Change at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor. The successful candidate is expected to develop and maintain an active research program that enhances existing expertise in the department, complements established and emerging research strengths within the Faculty, and is well-integrated into the campus' areas of strategic research focus. Teaching duties will include environmental sociology as well as appropriate introductory and core courses in Sociology, and new courses in food, food security, environmental racism, and/or climate change.
