Applicants must have earned a PhD by date of appointment, but within the previous five years. Applicants may not have earned a PhD from Brown University.
Description
The Department of History and the Cogut Institute for the Humanities at Brown University is accepting applications for a two-year Postdoctoral Research Associate in the History of Computational Technology position to begin July 2026. Research should address the historical significance, impact, and/or trajectory of the “information age,” cybernetics, computing, digital technology, artificial intelligence, and/or the emergence of data-driven methods in the sciences and beyond. The teaching load is one course per semester.
