Candidates should have a strong record of research, or of linking research to practice, and should have significant promise for teaching, particularly of undergraduates. The University is especially interested in candidates with relevant experience in a sector outside academia, including industry, government or the nonprofit sector.
Description
Syracuse University’s Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs seeks outstanding candidates for the Pontarelli Professorship in Environmental Sustainability and Finance. This is a renewable fixed-term non-tenure-track position for a scholar or experienced practitioner with research or career experience in one or more of the following areas:
- sustainability and finance
- renewable energy
- adaptation to climate change and increasing community resilience
- environmental risk management
- environmental and energy policy
The successful candidate will be expected to teach a mix of undergraduate and graduate courses. An additional aspect of the position is the opportunity for participation in other interdisciplinary teaching and research activities.
