Applicants must hold a master's degree in library and information science or a PhD in a relevant discipline. Applicants must also have reading knowledge of two additional languages.
Description
The Smith Center for the History of Cartography at the Newberry Library currently seeks a Curator of Maps to develop, interpret, promote, preserve, and manage the Newberry’s world-class collection of historic maps. Responsibilities include the collection management and gift workflow for maps, helping to set priorities for map digitization, and other curatorial, instruction, outreach, teaching, and scholarly tasks.
