Eligibility
The successful applicant must have completed a PhD degree within the field of history or ethnology (or related disciplines) within an environmental humanities thematic framework.
Non-Danish speaking appointees are expected to acquire Danish language proficiency within two years.
Description
The Saxo Institute at the University of Copenhagen seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in environmental humanities to be based at the Institute’s newly established Centre for Sustainable Futures. The successful applicant will present an original and compelling research plan for the six-year tenure-track period, and will be expected to play an active role in developing the Centre for Sustainable Futures. The assistant professorship will also be connected to the Institute’s undergraduate and graduate degree programs in either history or ethnology/applied cultural analysis. The duties of the position are evenly distributed between teaching and research tasks
