Description
The Department of African and African American Studies and Program in Film and Media Studies at Washington University in St. Louis invite applications for a tenure-track joint appointment in Black Digital Media Studies. The position will be at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin in the fall semester of 2021 and home-based in the Department of African and African American Studies. This position is part of the Digital Transformation cluster hire.
The successful candidate must be able to teach introductory and advanced undergraduate and graduate courses. Of the four courses taught during an academic year, one will be homebased in the Program in Film and Media Studies. Other duties include advising students and participating in department activities and governance.
