Job Opportunity: ARISE Instructor, NYU Tandon Center for K12 STEM Education

Applicants should have graduate-level training in the history and/or philosophy of science, ethics, technology, and/or medicine or other relevant specialties within history or philosophy.

Description:

The NYU Tandon Center for K12 STEM Education is seeking applications to teach for two weeks in the ARISE (Applied Research Innovations in Science and Engineering) summer program for current 10th and 11th-grade high school students. ARISE students take part in a full-time, seven-week program that involves a carefully mentored research experience in an NYU faculty lab. Successful applicants for this teaching position will be responsible for leading two sections of DSI (Dimensions of Scientific Inquiry), a workshop run over the first two weeks of ARISE (July 1 through July 12). Instructors are expected provide background on the topics of the day, facilitate productive discussion, and organize engaging group activities and projects.
