Description:
The Verizon 5G EdTech Challenge is a collaborative partnership between the Verizon Foundation, Verizon 5G Labs, and the NYC Media Lab. The Challenge reflects the intersection of social impact, emerging technology and the innovation ecosystem. Together, we are launching a new initiative that brings cutting-edge technologies to underserved middle school classrooms throughout the country.
We’re seeking bold, innovative, future-facing approaches to transform middle school education. The Challenge is open to nonprofit organizations, teams of university faculty and students.
So we're asking you: How can we use cutting-edge technology to improve educational outcomes? What does a periodic table powered by 5G look like? How does the classroom of the future work? How can technology address critical resource gaps teachers and schools face everyday? How can low-latency and edge-computing technology transform teaching and learning in middle schools?
Winners will partner with Verizon to develop and test their solutions in the 5G environment in spring 2019. Let's see what we can do, together.
