Call for Applications: US Environmental History Professor, Indiana University

The successful candidate should have a Ph.D. in History or a related field by the time of employment.

Description: 

The Indiana University Department of History invites applications for a tenure/tenure-track position in US Environmental History beginning August 1, 2020. This appointment will be made to a candidate with significant promise or a demonstrated record of original research and publication in the history of human and environmental interactions in any period of North American history—preferably with direct or potential application to Indiana or the Midwest. Environmentally inflected research in public health, gender and sexuality, policy, environmental justice, or race and ethnicity is also welcome. Teaching duties will include both undergraduate and graduate courses.
