Applicants should hold a Master's in Chinese or East Asian history, archaeology, or related field. Applicants should be fluent in English and Chinese.
Description
The Early Modern History Research Group at KU Leuven is accepting applications for a funding PhD position for up to four years in the Regionalizing Infrastructures in Chinese History project. Duties include authoring a PhD thesis on the social history of material infrastructures; collaborating on the data collection, annotation, curation, and analysis of city walls, roads or bridges; assisting in the organization of workshops and outreach events.
