Eligibility:
Applicants must be full-time faculty members at Columbia University, appointed in one of the six social science departments in Arts and Sciences or at the School of International and Public Affairs.
Amount:
Grants are awarded up to $30,000 per project. Will not fund book write-ups, documentary films, or ordinary computer equipment. Grants do not fund stand-alone projects, ongoing research, conferences or conference travel, or workshops.
Description:
The Institute for Social and Economic Research and Policy is launching a new Center for Pandemic Research in response to the current crisis. Together with the Columbia Population Research Center, they will award grants for faculty research projects on COVID-19. The goal is to rapidly identify and support projects that can start right away, and either inform policy-making and public understanding of pandemic threats or contribute to the resilience and recovery of the Columbia research community.
