Projects must be led by a full-time faculty member at Columbia University or Barnard College. Working groups must include an interdisciplinary core group of 5-8 members.
Amount
Awards of up to $40,000 are available.
Description
The Center for the Study of Social Difference is accepting for two-year faculty joint projects that investigate problems of social, economic, and cultural inequality. Working groups probe how historical and contemporary categories of social difference and identity shape institutions and policies, lived experiences, global relations, and art and activism. Proposals should be focused on the 2026 theme: Renaissance.
