This workshop aims to encourage greater dialogue between the history of science on the one hand, and intellectual and cultural history on the other–a crucial intersection for understanding numerous transformations outside the Euro-American world over the last two centuries. Consisting of five thematic panels over a day and a half, this workshop will feature work in progress by ten advanced graduate students and young scholars from Columbia and neighboring institutions, and discussant commentary and synthesis by several leading scholars in these fields.
Participation is free and open to the public. Please contact John Chen ([email protected]) with any inquiries. Download the program on the website.
