Event Description
Join a special webinar to learn about the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on gender-based violence and violence against children globally. Speakers will reflect upon the implications of the COVID-19 pandemic in addressing violence against women, children, and youth.
This includes an overview of how stay-at-home orders, restrictions in mobility, and limitations to accessing resources and health services have impacted violence against women, children, and young people in the context of COVID-19.
Additional related factors impacted by COVID-19 and how these relate to domestic violence, including economic insecurity, mental health, and hazardous drinking will also be discussed.
