Technology’s Stories, The Society for the History of Technology (SHOT) website for open-access scholarship on the history of technology, invites submissions for the newly designed site at www.technologystories.org.
Technology’s Stories aims to engage scholars, students, and the interested general public with the usable past-that is, with stories that can help us make sense of contemporary technological challenges and aspirations. Pieces are strong on content and light on academic jargon, making them especially suitable for undergraduates.
The first issue on the newly re-launched site features articles on reproductive technologies in modern America from Donna Drucker, Jenna Healey, and Heather Prescott, and a feature essay by Jordan Bimm on museums in Roswell, New Mexico.
The editors invite contributions from across the spectrum, from graduate students to senior scholars; please contact email@example.com to express interest in putting together an issue for Technology’s Stories or publishing a standalone essay.
